Shaping the Future with Additively Manufactured Ceramics
From aerospace to the ocean – engineering materials for extreme environments.
What we do
At Asterio Technology, we develop high-performance ceramic components using additive manufacturing, optimized for offshore, hydrogen, and harsh industrial environments.
Our materials are inspired by space, built for durability, and engineered to reduce corrosion, weight, and failure in the world’s toughest conditions.
Our Areas of Exploration
Offshore Components
We develop lightweight, corrosion-proof components that outperform traditional metals in marine environments. Our ceramic composites are ideal for trim tabs, rudders, pump housings, and exposed mechanical parts where durability, resistance to saltwater, and reduced maintenance are critical.
Hydrogen Infrastructure
Our materials withstand high thermal loads, chemical stress, and hydrogen embrittlement — making them ideal for electrolyzers, fuel cell systems, and hydrogen storage. We develop thermally stable housings, non-metallic valves, and protective casings tailored for long-term use in harsh environments.
Fire & Heat Protection
From battery enclosures to thermal barriers: our ceramics provide high-impact resistance, structural stability > 800 °C, and fireproofing — even without coatings. This makes them ideal for energy storage, marine engine rooms, and hydrogen safety zones.
Advanced Manufacturing
We enable custom geometries, integrated functions, and fiber-reinforced structures without the need for molds or tooling. Our additive manufacturing process allows for small batches, quick iteration, and scalable solutions across high-performance applications.
Technical Specifications
Sustainability, supply chain resilience, and lifecycle cost-efficiency are no longer optional — they are industrial necessities.
Our ceramic solutions reduce maintenance, prevent corrosion, and lower downtime across sectors that demand reliability under pressure — while being manufactured and developed entirely in Germany, ensuring quality, traceability, and independence from global supply risks.
